Pediatric Eye Exams & Vision Care
We provide thorough, age-appropriate eye exams for children starting at the age of four. Pediatric exams are available at all four of our locations, with weekend and after-school appointments offered at most offices.
Vision exams for kids age 4+
Children’s vision can change quickly, and many early signs of vision issues are easy to miss. Our exams check for visual acuity, eye coordination, depth perception, and focusing ability. We also screen for conditions like amblyopia (lazy eye), strabismus (eye misalignment), and signs of nearsightedness. These tests are based on your child’s age and comfort level, and we always explain results in clear, parent-friendly language.
Pediatric eye exams support learning & development
Healthy vision plays a key role in your child’s success in the classroom and during play.
If your child has trouble seeing the board, focusing on a page, or tracking movement, it may affect reading skills, attention, and confidence. Annual exams help us detect these challenges early, before they interfere with your child’s education or activities.
Pediatric myopia care & early intervention
If your child is becoming nearsighted at a young age, we may recommend myopia control.
Our doctors offer evidence-based treatments such as MiSight® daily lenses, low-dose atropine drops, Stellest myopia control spectacle lenses and ortho-k lenses worn overnight. These therapies can help slow the progression of myopia and lower the long-term risks of retinal detachment or other eye conditions later in life.
